Nemecek Earns Second Straight Indoor All-America Honor At 2025 NCAA DII Indoor Championships

MEET: 2025 DII NCAA INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

LOCATION: Fall Creek Pavilion – Indianapolis, Ind.

RECAP: Northwood men's track & field athletes Will Nemecek and Luke Eros competed at the 2025 NCAA DII Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday (March 14-15). Nemecek came away with his second straight Indoor All-America honor.

INSIDE THE MEET

DAY 1 - FRIDAY RESULTS

  • Luke Eros capped off his sophomore indoor season taking 18th in the weight throw at his first NCAA Championships appearance. He finished with a best 17.56m on his second toss.
  • Blake Vier was a 2025 NCAA Indoor qualifier for the 60m hurdles, but did not start due to injury.

DAY 2 – SATURDAY RESULTS

  • Northwood shot put record holder, Will Nemecek, established himself as one of if not the best shot put athlete in school history. He earned Second Team All-America honors, finishing ninth with his best toss of 17.67m. Nemecek became the first Northwood athlete in the NCAA era to earn multiple Indoor All-America honors for the shot put (First Team, 2024).

UP NEXT

  • Northwood track & field concludes the 2024-25 Indoor season. They begin their outdoor season March 22, utilizing split squads at Indiana Wesleyan at the Polar Bear Classic and Lee University at the Lee Invitational.
