Jordyn Nurenberg Named CCA Second Team All-Region

2015-16 Division II CCA Women's Basketball All-Region Team

ASHLAND, OHIO – Jordyn Nurenberg (St. Johns, Mich.), a junior on the Northwood University women's basketball team, has been named to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (CCA) All-Midwest Region Second Team.

Voting was done by the region's Sports Information Directors.

Nurenberg turned in one of the finest individual seasons in Northwood history, setting school-records for points (501) and rebounds (309) in a season. Nurenberg is the current national leader in Division II in double-doubles, ending year with 22 in 29 games. She also moved into the top-10 on the NU single season list in FG percentage (57.0 - fifth), FT made (124 - fifth) and blocked shots (35th - seventh). Nurenberg ended the season ranked second in the GLIAC in scoring, rebounding and FG percentage. She also attempted and made more free throws than anyone in the GLIAC.

Northwood finished the season with a 17-12 record.
