Makenzie Todd, Kenzie Seeley Recognized In Postseason GLIAC Awards
MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's basketball had a pair of student-athletes earn postseason recognition from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Saturday (March 6).
Sophomore guard Makenzie Todd was named Second Team All-GLIAC, while senior guard Kenzie Seeley was named to the All-Defensive team.
Todd led the balanced Northwood offense in scoring, averaging 11.5 points per game. She currently holds the NU school record for free throw percentage, having made 33 of 34 overall (97.1 percent). Todd scored in double figures 10 times this season, including a career-high 29 points in a win against Ashland. This is the first time in her career Todd has earned All-GLIAC honors.
Seeley has been Northwood's top on-ball defender for most of her career. She picked up 17 steals and two blocks this season while always drawing the assignment on defense of the opponent's top perimeter player. This is the first time in her career Seeley has been named to the All-Defensive team.
Northwood is currently 11-8 overall and stands fifth in the latest NCAA Division II Midwest Regional rankings.
