GAME STORY
- The first quarter was closely contested – the biggest lead for either team was four points.
- Northwood scored the final six points of the first to take a 15-11 lead after one.
- The Timberwolves kept the momentum going early in the second, pushing their advantage to 22-13 at the 7:13 mark.
- Rollins got within six on a couple of occasions, but it was the Timberwolves who maintained the lead the rest of the half.
- Northwood eventually led 39-27 at the break.
- NU led 43-32 early in the third when the Tars wen on a run. Rollins scored 10 straight points to get within on at 43-42.
- Rollins took their first lead of the second half at 48-45 at the midway point of the third.
- The remainder of the quarter was closely contested, with Northwood holding a 55-54 lead heading to the final period.
- The Tars led 60-55 with under six minutes remaining when the Timberwolves scored six straight to take a 61-60 lead at the 3:29 mark.
- With the score tied 66-66, both teams had chances to score in the final moments of the game but were unsuccessful, sending the game to overtime.
- Rollins scored the first four points of overtime and maintained the lead the rest of the way.
