Women's Basketball Defeats Ursuline 75-68

GAME STORY
- The opening quarter saw the two teams remain close – Northwood's 10-5 advantage was the largest of the quarter.
- Ursuline held a 16-15 lead after one quarter.
- The first significant run of the game came with Northwood leading 26-25 with under three minutes remaining in the second. NU scored nine of the final 11 points to take a 35-27 lead at halftime.
- Northwood, who ranks second in the G-MAC in both 3-point percentage (.344) and 3-pointers made (168), was just 1-12 from beyond the arc in the opening 20 minutes.
- The Timberwolves kept the momentum going early in the third quarter, pushing their lead up to 46-31 less than three minutes into the third.
- Ursuline cut the lead down to eight before the Northwood lead stood at 55-46 heading to the final quarter.
- The Arrows chipped away at the Northwood lead throughout the fourth quarter, eventually making the score 66-64 with 1:18 remaining.
- That was as close as Ursuline would get, however, as Maelyn McNealy knocked down a clutch 3-pointer to get the lead back to five.
- McNealy's triple started a 6-0 run to clinch the Northwood victory.

NORTHWOOD NOTES
- Holmes has now tied the Northwood record for blocks shots in a season with 64. Savannah Stedman finished the 2011-12 season with 64 blocks.
- Head coach Autumn Haggadone now has a career record 66-43 at Northwood. She moved into third place on the NU all-time wins list, passing Lori Hyman (65). Jeff Curtis (233) and Mary Vielbig (86) rank first and second in program history.
