GAME STORY
- In what proved to be the story of the contest, the opening quarter was tight. Northwood's 15-9 lead was the largest for either side in the opening 10 minutes.
- The score was tied 17-17 after one.
- The Timberwolves pushed the lead to 30-24 in the second to match the biggest lead of the half, but it was the Bulldogs who were the better team the rest of the way.
- FSU held a 44-41 lead at the break.
- Both offenses played well in the second quarter, as the two teams combined for 51 points while both shooting over 56.3 percent.
- The two teams went back and forth over the third quarter, which Northwood eventually led heading to the final frame 65-62.
- Northwood earned the biggest lead of the night at 71-64 with 6:05 remaining, only to see the Bulldogs score seven straight to tie the game.
- FSU connected on a layup with 1.8 seconds remaining to go up 77-75.
- Northwood executed a sideline out of bounds play perfectly to force overtime, as Maeve St. John found Lea Holmes for a layup as time expired to force overtime.
- The Bulldogs scored seven of the first nine points of the extra period to earn the lead.
