GAME STORY
- The score was tied 9-9 at the 5:30 mark of the first quarter when Grand Valley State made the first run of the game. The Lakers scored 14 straight points to hold a 23-9 lead with under a minute remaining in the first.
- GVSU held a 25-11 lead after the opening quarter.
- Northwood played better in the second, cutting a GV lead of down to 13 twice in the quarter.
