GAME STORY

• Northern Michigan started the game fast, opening up a 13-2 lead at the 6:23 mark of the opening quarter.
• The lead grew to as many as 12 (18-6) before Northwood fought back. The Timberwolves went on an 11-0 run to cut the lead to one at 18-17.
• NMU ended the first with a 23-19 lead.
• The Timberwolves trailed 30-21 with under seven minutes remaining in the second when NU went on a big run. Northwood scored 13 straight points to take their biggest lead of the day at 34-30.
• Northwood went on to hold a 34-32 lead at the break.
• The two teams stayed close throughout the third quarter. The largest lead for either side in the third was six points.
• The Wildcats scored seven of the final nine points to take a 54-48 lead heading to the final quarter.
• Northwood got within two in the fourth but were unable to tie the game the rest of the way.
