Maeve St. John Reaches 1,000 Point Mark, Leads Women's Basketball To 73-54 Win Over Malone

GAME STORY
- Malone held an 8-7 lead in the opening quarter before Northwood controlled the final 4:06 of the period. The Timberwolves outscored the Pioneers 14-2 the rest of the quarter to give NU a 21-10 after one.
- The lead stayed above nine the remainder of the half. Northwood led by as many as 15 before holding a 39-26 advantage at the break.
- After shooting 44.4 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes, the Timberwolves offense went ice-cold in the third. Northwood missed their first nine field goals of the quarter and were held scoreless for the first 7:54 of the period. In that time, Malone outscored Northwood 15-0 to give the Pioneers a 41-39 lead.
- That proved to be the last lead of the game for Malone, however, as the Timberwolves responded with seven straight points to go back on top 46-41.
- NU held a 46-44 lead heading to the final quarter.
- Northwood dominated the final quarter, scoring the first 10 points to take a 58-44 lead.
- The Timberwolves went on to outscore Malone 27-10 in the final quarter, pushing their advantage to as many as 21 before winning by 19.
