Maeve St. John Earns D2CCA Second Team All-America Honors
MIDLAND, MICH. – Maeve St. John from the Northwood University women's basketball team has earned All-America honors from the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA).
Athletic Communication staff members from around the Midwest Region voted on the teams, which were announced Monday (March 23).
St. John earned Second Team All-American honors. She is the first Northwood women's basketball player to earn All-America honors since Pam Wilson from the 2010-11 season.
St. John was named the Midwest Region Player of the year by D2CCA, becoming the first Northwood women's basketball player to earn a Regional Player of the Year award. She also was named G-MAC Player of the Year, the first in school history. St. John finished the year averaging 18.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.4 steals per game. She set numerous school records during the year, including points in a season (632), free throws made in a season (184), steals in a season (117) and steals in a career (296). A four-time G-MAC Player of the Week this season, St. John scored at least 32 points five times in 2025-26. St. John currently ranks in the top-10 nationally in steals, steals per game, free throws made and free throw percentage (88.9).
Northwood (28-6) set school-records for wins in a season, conference wins in a season (19) and longest winning streak (18). The Timberwolves reached the Midwest regional final before falling to top-ranked Grand Valley State. Northwood is currently ranked No. 9 nationally in KPI, the primary ranking system used to determine the NCAA Tournament field.
