Jake Voelker joined the women's basketball staff at Northwood University in the summer of 2022. After one year as a volunteer assistant, Voelker was promoted to a full-time position in the spring of 2023. In the summer of 2025, he was promoted to Associate Head Coach.

He has been a key part of the success of the Timberwolves over the last two seasons. Northwood has finished in the top three of the Great Midwest in each of the last two years, having gone 31-9 in conference play.

"I am super excited to add Jake to our coaching staff,” said Head Coach Autumn Hunter. “He is someone I have known and trusted for a lot of years. Jake brings great energy and tactile intelligence of the game to coaching at the next level.

“He also has a lot of experience with recruiting contacts in the state of Michigan. We are thrilled to have Jake at Northwood."

Voelker has spent the past seven seasons as a coach with the Michigan Mystics AAU program. He also has served as an assistant for the Goodrich High School varsity program for the past four years.
