RECAP: Northwood Women's Lacrosse opened the first season in program history with a 21-8 loss at William Jewell Friday night (February 14).

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• The first goal in program history was scored by Gabby Wilson, who found the back of the net at the 12:57 mark of the opening quarter. That tied the score at 1-1.
• After William Jewell went up 3-1, Cece Gibson scored on a pass from Sam Peterson to cut the lead to one.
• The Cardinals broke the game open at that point, scoring eight straight goals to make the score 11-2.
• Peterson ended the run with a goal to cut the deficit to eight.
• With the score 13-3, Peterson scored her second goal of the game, which was followed shortly after by Montana Chuba.
• Gibson scored the next two goals for Northwood before Emma Volpe capped the scoring for the day for the Timberwolves.
