GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Thomas More was the better team in the opening quarter. The Saints scored the first two goals of the period and maintained their lead the rest of the quarter. TMU netted five of the final six goals of the quarter to take an 8-3 lead after one. Northwood got goals from Taylor Murrell, Montana Chuba and Emma Volpe in the first.
• Northwood responded with a strong second period. The Timberwolves scored the first eight goals of the period to take an 11-8 lead. TMU did score the final two goals to give Northwood an 11-10 lead at the break. Sam Peterson scored four goals in the quarter for Northwood, while Chuba added three. Murrell also scored in the third for the Timberwolves.
• The Timberwolves scored the first goal of the second half, but the Saints responded with five of the next six goals to take a 15-13 lead. Northwood did score the final goal of the period with two seconds remaining to send the game to the fourth with TMU leading 15-14. Murrell scored a pair on in the third, while Volpe netted the other goal for the Timberwolves.
• Northwood tied the score early in the fourth 15-15 before Thomas More responded with six straight goals. NU got two straight goals to get within four at 21-17, but that is as close as the Timberwolves would get. The Saints outscored Northwood 8-4 in the quarter to close out the game. Peterson, Gabby Wilson, Murrell and Chuba were the goal scorers in the fourth.
