RECAP: Northwood Women's Lacrosse earns its second straight victory, downing Ursuline 18-1 Saturday afternoon (April 4).
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Northwood scored the opening goal of the game three minutes in on a goal by Madalynn Nowak. Mairin Zielger earned the assist to make the score 1-0
- Addie Valler and Gabby Wilson each added goals over the remainder of the first to give NU a 3-0 lead after one.
- The Timberwolves maintained control in the second period, out-scoring the Arrow 6-0. Anna Young scored two goals in the period, while Addie Valler, Paige Schultz, Wilson and Carly Boyd each chipped in one in the second. Wilson also added three assists in the quarter, which ended with Northwood on top 9-0.
- Boyd scored the first two goals of the second half to push the advantage to 11-0.
- Wilson, Ziegler and Nowak each added goals before the end of the third to push the Timberwolves lead to 14-0.
- Nowak and Schultz got the advantage to 16-0 early in the fourth.
- Ursuline got on board with a goal at 7:55 of the fourth to get within 15.
- Young and Wilson rounded out the scoring in the fourth, making the final 18-1.
