Mairin Zielger, Gabby Wilson Earn G-MAC Women's Lacrosse Postseason Honors

G-MAC WOMEN'S LACROSSE AWARDS

MIDLAND, MICH. – A pair of student athletes from the women's lacrosse team have earned postseason honors from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), the league announced Thursday (April 30).

Mairin Ziegler was named the G-MAC Freshman of the Year, while senior Gabby Wilson was named First Team All-Great Midwest.

Ziegler is the first player in program history to earn an individual postseason honor. She led Northwood with 35 goals this year and ranked second on the team with 39 points. Ziegler added 21 ground balls and 22 draw controls.

This is the second time in her two seasons at Northwood that Wilson was named First Team all-conference. She finished the season with 33 goals and a team-high 13 assists. Wilson lead Northwood in points, ground balls, draw controls and caused turnovers.  She ranked second in the G-MAC in ground balls and third in the league in draw controls.
