Women's Soccer Drops 2-1 Match At Tiffin

The Northwood University women's soccer team dropped a hard-fought 2-1 contest at Tiffin Friday afternoon (October 26).

Northwood falls to 6-9-1 overall, 6-5-1 in the GLIAC.  Tiffin improves to 8-7-2 overall, 5-5-2 in the GLIAC.

Northwood got on the board first, netting the game's opening tally in the 22nd minute.  Amanda Watson (Oregon, Ohio/Clay) found space out front in the middle of the field and beat the keeper to put the Timberwolves up early.  The unassisted goal was the 10th of the season and the 54th of her career.  The Timberwolves out-shot Tiffin 14-5 in the half.

The Dragons earned the comeback win in the second half, scoring in the 54th and 64th minute to earn the win.  Northwood out-shot the Dragons 7-4 in the half, but Tiffin's first two shots of the half found the back of the net.

For the match, Northwood finished with a 21-9 advantage in shots and an 11-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Timberwolves will finish the regular season Sunday (October 28) at Findlay.  Match time is set for 2:30 p.m.
