Women's Soccer Falls To Ashland 3-1

The Northwood University women's soccer team were defeated by Ashland 3-1 on Sunday afternoon (October 5).

The Timberwolves fall to 1-7-1 on the year, 0-5 in the GLIAC. The Eagles are now 5-4 overall, 2-3 in the GLIAC.

NU fell behind early, with Ashland netting the first goal of the game at 19:00. The Timberwolves were able to score the equalizer at 35:54, as sophomore Shannon Brown (Lapeer, Mich. / Lapeer West) put in her third goal of the season. Brown setup just inside the 18-yard box and finished a ball that was deflected across the box.

Ashland controlled the pace for a majority of the match. The Eagles netted the go-ahead goal at 57:59 to put the match away. The Eagles held the advantage in shots (12-3), while Northwood took a single corner kick in the match.
