Samantha Cook Earns All-GLIAC Honorable Mention

MIDLAND, MICH. -  The Northwood University women's soccer team placed a member on the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All-Conference teams, which the league announced Thursday (November 3). Samantha Cook, the goalkeeper for the Timberwolves was named All-GLIAC Honorable Mention.

Cook was a major key to the Timberwolves success this season with her solid goaltending throughout the 2016 campaign. A senior from South Lyon, Michigan, Cook compiled an impressive season that included starting all 17 games in net for Northwood. She made 94 saves on the season while surrendering 26 goals, earning her a Save % of .783.  Cook also put together a couple of outstanding individual performances that included 6 shut-outs, as well as a 15 save performance in the GLIAC quarterfinals against Ohio Dominican.

Northwood finished the season at 8-8-1 Overall and 5-5-1 in the GLIAC.
