Jacob Earns Her Second G-MAC Athlete Of The Week Honor
INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - Lindsay Jacob earned defensive player of the week from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) this week, Monday (October 2). This is her second career Athlete of the Week honor and second this season as well as the second for a women's soccer player this season.
Jacob led the Timberwolves to a 2-0 record this week with shutout victories against both Tiffin (1-0) and Ohio Dominican (2-0). Jacob totaled 11 saves through both contests. She currently leads the conference in saves (49), is fourth in save percentage (.817), and has three blank sheets this season.
Women's soccer is currently 6-2-2 and 5-0-1 in the G-MAC with a home match versus Thomas More awaiting on Wednesday (October 4). Northwood is 6-0-1, including three shutouts and a 14-5 goal differential, over the last seven contests. This will be NU's first-ever match with the Saints as they joined the G-MAC this season. Kickoff is scheduled for noon at Dean Field.
