RECAP: Women's Soccer opened their home slate Thursday (September 25). The Timberwolves took on Findlay in the team's first home game on Northwood's newly installed turf field. Findlay took the 1-0 lead early in the first before Reagan Brengman's late header gave NU the draw 1-1.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The first half was filled with back-and-forth play. Findlay managed to have more shots and on goal attempts (7-3 and 3-0). Northwood did have more corners, holding the 4-1 advantage at the break.
- Early on the in second half, Findlay began to pressure Northwood's back. The Oilers would find the match's first score with a lofted cross the found the found the inside of the far post in the 53', 1-0 UF.
- Findlay's pressure continued to push Northwood's back line. The Oilers fired off the next seven shots after their goal but came up empty.
- The Timberwolves achieved nine corner opportunities on the after. Of the nine corners only one resulted in a subsequent shot. The only shot came in the 83' with Carly Boyd's cross to Reagan Brengman on the far post gave the Timberwolves enough to head it in, 1-1.
