Five Timberwolves Earn All-G-Mac Women’s Soccer Honors; Jacob Named Co-Goalkeeper Of The Year

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – Five Northwood University women's soccer players earned postseason recognition from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), the league announced Thursday (November 13). Junior goalkeeper Lindsay Jacob (St. Clair Shores, Mich.) was named G-MAC Co-Goalkeeper of the Year, while Carly Boyd (Oxford, Mich.) and Ava Kettler (Oxford, Mich.) joined Jacob on the All-Conference First Team. Sophomore Ella Boyd (Oxford, Mich.) and junior Mari Jackson (Eastpointe, Mich.) were named to the All-Conference Second Team.

MEET THE HONOREES

Lindsay Jacob – Co-Goalkeeper of the Year / First Team
Jacob earned Co-Goalkeeper of the Year honors alongside Ashland's Jaya Daniel. Jacob posted a standout season for the Timberwolves, recording a program record and conference-leading nine shutouts while boasting the conference-best save percentage (.870) and second in goals against average (.671). She is the first athlete in program history to take home Conference Goalkeeper of the Year honors.

Carly Boyd – First Team
Northwood's career assists leader, Boyd, adds another All-Conference honor to her decorated career. This marks Boyd's third All-G-MAC recognition after earning Second Team honors in 2023 and Third Team in 2022. The senior has been a staple for Northwood in set-piece situations. She tallied six more assists this season while scoring three times. Carly tied Ella and Mari Jackson for the team lead with 12 points for the season.

Ava Kettler – First Team
Kettler earns her first career All-Conference selection following her senior campaign on the Timberwolf back line. The defender was instrumental as Northwood set the program record for shutouts in a season and is on its way to breaking the program's single-season goals-against average, currently .67.

Ella Boyd – Second Team
After earning G-MAC Freshman of the Year honors in 2024, Boyd followed with another strong season as a sophomore. The forward totaled four goals and four assists this season, bringing her career point total to 30, the 24th player in program history to hit that mark.

Mari Jackson – Second Team
Mari earned her first career conference accolade, being named to the Second Team. In her third year, Jackson started the year off hot, scoring in four of the season's first five matches while tallying three game-winning goals. For the year, she added two more game-winning goals for five on the season.
