Jacob And Brengman Highlight Women's Soccer On G-MAC All-Tournament Team
MIDLAND, MICH. – Two key members of the Northwood University women's soccer program earned postseason recognition from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), as goalkeeper Lindsay Jacob and defender Reagan Brengman were named to the G-MAC All-Tournament Team, the league announced Tuesday, November 18.
Jacob and Brengman continued their standout seasons by anchoring the Timberwolves' defensive unit throughout the postseason run. The pair helped Northwood post two G-MAC Tournament shutouts — a 4-0 win over Lake Erie (November 8) and a 0-0 draw versus No. 13 Ashland (November 13) in the semifinals. Jacob delivered nine saves in the semifinal matchup with the top-seeded Eagles, helping force double overtime and a marathon 14-round shootout.
The Northwood University women's soccer team is headed back to the national stage, earning a spot in the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Tournament. This marks the second NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and the second in the last three seasons (2023).
Northwood enters the postseason as the No. 5 seed in the Midwest Regional and will face No. 4 seed Maryville (Mo.) on Thursday (November 20) at Noon at the GVSU Soccer Field on the campus of Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich.
