D2CCA All-Midwest Region – Kettler and Boyd Earn Second Team Honors For Women's Soccer

 D2CCA Midwest All-Region Team Release

MIDLAND, MICH. – Two members of the Northwood University women's soccer program earned DII Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Midwest Region Second Team honors, as D2CCA announced its postseason All-Region teams on Tuesday (November 25).

Athletic communications professionals select the All-Region teams from across the NCAA Division II Midwest Region, which includes institutions from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), and Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC).

Seniors Ava Kettler and Carly Boyd represented the Timberwolves on the Second Team.

Ava Kettler – Second Team

Kettler earns her first career All-Region honor following a standout senior season on the back line. The veteran defender earned First Team All-Conference honors and played a pivotal role as Northwood set a program record for shutouts in a season (10) while breaking the single-season goals-against average mark, with 0.64.

Carly Boyd – Second Team

Northwood's career assists leader, Boyd, adds another postseason accolade to her impressive resume with her selection to the Second Team. She also earned her third All-Conference honor of her career, getting named First Team this year, joining Second Team recognition in 2023 and Third Team honors in 2022. A major contributor on set pieces, Boyd recorded six assists and three goals this season, leading the Timberwolves in both assists and total points (12). With her continued production, she further cemented her place among the program's elite playmakers, finishing her career fifth in Northwood history with 78 career points.

The Timberwolves finished their 2025 season 11-3-6 overall and 7-2-5 in the G-MAC. They earned a conference tournament semifinal appearance and the program's second trip to the NCAA DII Women's Soccer Tournament in its history.
