Women's Tennis Sweeps Ashland 9-0

In a matchup of two of the top teams in the GLIAC, the Northwood University women's tennis team posted an impressive 9-0 sweep over Ashland Friday afternoon (October 12).

Northwood improves to 10-0 overall, 10-0 in the GLIAC and remains alone in first place in the league. Ashland falls to 10-2 overall and in the GLIAC.

The Timberwolves took control of the match early on, sweeping the doubles matches to go up 3-0 heading into singles. Northwood has gone 29-1 (.967) in GLIAC doubles so far this season.

NU then went on to post six wins in singles, five of which were in straight-sets. Northwood now stands at 52-8 in singles in GLIAC play.

Northwood will host Tiffin Saturday morning (October 13). Match time is set for 11 a.m.
