Women's Tennis Earns 8-1 Win Against Saginaw Valley

The Northwood University women's tennis team remained unbeaten on the season with an 8-1 win over Saginaw Valley State Saturday (September 21).

Northwood remains the lone unbeaten team in the GLIAC, improving to 9-0 overall and in the GLIAC.  Saginaw Valley falls to 2-7 overall and in the GLIAC.

The Timberwolves jumped out with two quick wins at the bottom of the doubles lineup.  SVSU responded by taking a 9-7 victory at No. 1 doubles, making the score 2-1 heading into singles.

Northwood dominated the action in singles, winning all six matches in straight sets.  All but one of the 12 sets contested saw SVSU win less than two games.

Northwood will host Michigan Tech Sunday (September 22).  Match time is set for 10 a.m.
