Women's Tennis Defeats Michigan Tech 7-2
The Northwood University women's tennis team earned a 7-2 win over Michigan Tech Sunday (September 22).
The Timberwolves remain unbeaten on the season, improving to 10-0 overall and in the GLIAC. Michigan Tech falls to 2-7 overall and in the GLIAC.
Northwood posted matching 8-1 wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to take a quick 2-0 lead. Michigan Tech came back to earn a tight 9-8 win at the top position to send the match to singles with NU leading 2-1.
All six singles matches went straight sets, with the Timberwolves taking five of the six contests.
Northwood will compete at the Wilson/ITA Regional next weekend (Sept. 27-29).
