Women's Tennis Downs Benedict College 9-0 at Hilton Head, S.C.

The Northwood University women's tennis team downed Benedict College 9-0 at Hilton Head, S.C. Sunday afternoon (March 23).

Northwood is now 19-0 overall. Benedict falls to 4-10 on the season.

The Timberwolves came out to a strong 3-0 start in doubles before entering singles competition. Inesa Asatryan (Yaroslavl, Russia) improves to 9-3 on the season in the No. 4 slot without dropping a set 6-0, 6-0. Maria Avksenenko (St. Petersburg, Russia) remains undefeated after only dropping a single set in the No. 6 position. At the top position, Darina Berkova (Ceske Budejovic, Czech Republic) earned her 14th victory 6-2, 6-1 and remains unbeaten on the season.

Northwood competes against North Central tomorrow (March 24). Match time is set for noon.
