Women's Tennis Sweeps Ashland 9-0
MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's tennis team remained unbeaten on the season with a 9-0 sweep over Ashland Thursday afternoon (October 2).
Northwood is now 6-0 overall and in the GLIAC. Ashland falls to 0-10 overall, 0-9 in the GLIAC.
The Timberwolves posted three wins in doubles, dropping a total of eight games in the matches to take control early. Northwood then earned straight-set wins at all six singles matches, losing a total of just 14 games in 12 sets.
For the season, Northwood is now 32-4 in singles matches (.889) and 15-3 in doubles play (.833) overall.
Northwood will host Walsh Friday afternoon (October 3). Match time is set for 1 p.m.
