Women's Tennis Earns 8-1 Win At Hillsdale
HILLSDALE, MICH. – The Northwood University women's tennis team picked up an 8-1 win over Hillsdale Friday afternoon (October 10).
Northwood improves to 9-1 overall and in the GLIAC. Hillsdale 3-7, 3-7 in the GLIAC.
The Timberwolves went up 3-0 after doubles thanks to pulling out a pair of close matches. Northwood won tiebreakers at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to take a commanding lead heading into singles.
Northwood won five of the six matches in singles to earn the overall win. NU posted three wins that took the full three sets. The Timberwolves lone loss came due to retirement.
The Timberwolves will travel to Saginaw Valley October 18. First serve is set for 10 a.m.
