ALLENDALE, MICH. – The Northwood University women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 match to Grand Valley State Sunday afternoon (September 13).

The Timberwolves are now 2-1 on the season. GVSU improves to 4-0 overall and in the GLIAC.

The key to the match proved to be doubles, as the Lakers earned a sweep to take a 3-0 lead.  Singles proved to be tight, as the two teams split the six matches. Five of the six matches went the full three sets.

Alisa Reshetnikova, Olesia Riabchuk and Tetyana Pavych picked up wins on the day for Timberwolves.

Northwood will travel to Ferris State Wednesday (September 16) for a 2 p.m. match.
