MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's tennis team earned a 9-0 sweep over Lake Superior State Sunday (September 20).

Northwood is now 5-1 overall and in the GLIAC. Lake Superior State falls to 0-6 overall and in the GLIAC.

The Timberwolves came out and picked up three wins doubles. LSSU won a total of six games in the three matches.

NU then swept all six singles matches without dropping a set.

On the day, Carol Arnez-Mercado, Alisa Reshetnikova, Olesia Riabchuk, Anastasiia Kazub and Anna Aniskina all went 2-0 for Northwood. Tetyana Pavych and Maria Avksenenko both picked up one win each.

Northwood will travel to the ITA Regional Tournament Sepetmber 25-27.
