Women's Tennis Stays Put at Seven in the Midwest Rankings
DII Women's Tennis Regional Rankings
MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood women's tennis (14-5, 7-1 G-MAC) appeared at No. 7 in the second 2024 NCAA DII Midwest regional rankings released Sunday (April 28).
Northwood was one of three teams from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) in the rankings. Others include No. 2 Tiffin (25-2) and No. 4 Findlay (14-6). In-state foes include No. 3 Wayne St. (16-5), No.5 Grand Valley St. (12-9), and No. 6 Ferris St. (11-9).
The Timberwolves fell in the conference semi-finals to Findlay last Friday, April 26. Tiffin secured the automatic bid from the Great Midwest after downing Findlay on April 27.
48 teams will qualify for this year's NCAA Tournament, with the top seven teams from the Midwest Region earning a berth. Postseason action of the NCAA tournament will begin on May 10-11 with the first and second rounds.
