Women's Tennis Punches Their Ticket to the Program's 21st NCAA Regional Tournament

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's tennis team has been named the No. 7 seed in the Midwest Region heading into the 2024 NCAA DII Women's Tennis Tournament. Regional competition begins May 10 and championship matches play on May 24 at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
The 2024 DII NCAA Tournament brackets were announced Monday evening (May 6). The Midwest Regionals are split into two locations, with top-seeded Indianapolis hosting No. 4 Findlay and No. 5 Grand Valley St. In the other regional, No. 2 Tiffin will host No. 3 Wayne St. (Mich.), No. 6 Ferris St., and No. 7 Northwood.
This marks Northwood's 21st trip to the NCAA Tournament in school history and the first trip under Head Coach Raul Quevedo.
Northwood earned an at-large bid. The Timberwolves last played on April 26 against Findlay in the G-MAC conference tournament semi-final. Findlay took down the higher-ranked Timberwolves, 4-3. After finishing the regular season with a 9-1 record in the last ten, Northwood secured the second seed in the G-MAC tournament.
Northwood's opening match versus No. 2 Tiffin is set for Friday (May 10) at 10 a.m. Tiffin was the only G-MAC team to beat Northwood in the regular season, 4-2, on April 12. You can stay tuned to Gonorthwood.com for an updated schedule and times.
