Women's Tennis Earns Rankings At Conclusion Of 2024 Season

ITA COLLEGIATE TENNIS FINAL RANKINGS

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's tennis team earned regional recognition at the conclusion of the 2024 season from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

The Timberwolves finished the year ended the year ranked seventh in the Midwest Region. In addition, Danijela Danilovic was ranked 16th in the region in singles. The doubles team of Rafaella Platsiota and Savannah Matuszewski finished the season ranked eighth in the region and No. 47 nationally.

Danilovic went 20-1 overall in singles this season playing at the No. 2 position throughout the year. She posted an 9-0 record in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play from the top singles slot. Platsiota was named First Team All-Great Midwest.

Matuszewski and Platsiota played at the No. 1 doubles position throughout the season. The duo went 14-7 overall and 6-3 in the conference. Both players were named Second Team All-Great Midwest.

Northwood finished the year 14-6 overall while going 8-1 in G-MAC. The Timberwolves earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the 21st time in program history.
