The Northwood University track and field teams set to host annual Northwood Open on Saturday (April 12) on Fisher Track at Hantz Stadium.

In 2013, Northwood University took home 10 first-place finishes despite running through changing weather conditions. Valencia Lynch (Women's 100), Marsadie Cinato (Women's 400), Madison Pines (Women's 1,500), Danielle Miller (Women's 5,000), Silas DeKalita (Men's 5,000) Hunter Perry (Women's Discuss), and the men's 4x400 relay team each took home a victory and will look for a repeat this year.

The NU Open invites schools from NCAA Divisions I and II, as well as NAIA to compete annually. Events are set to start at 11 a.m. Admission for spectators will be $5.00. Teams, parents and alumni are invited to join a family and friends barbeque following the meet.
