INSIDE THE MATCH

• Northwood scored four of the first five points of the match and held the lead the majority of the way. Later in the set, Ashland used a 5-1 run to level the match at 16-16. The Timberwolves came right back with four straight points to go back on top 20-16 on their way to a 25-21 opening set win.
• After a tightly contested start to set two, Northwood scored five straight points to open up a 18-13 lead. The Timberwolves maintained control the remainder of the set, taking a 2-0 match lead with a 25-17 set victory.
• Northwood took the lead for good in the final set at 3-2. With their lead standing at 11-10, NU scored six of the next seven points to go up 17-11. Ashland got no closer than four points the rest of the way, as the Timberwolves finished the sweep with a 25-19 win.
