Volleyball Loses 3-1 At Top-Seeded Cedarville In G-MAC Tournament Opening Round

RECAP: Northwood volleyball sees its 2025 season come to an end with a 3-1 loss at No. 1 seed Cedarville Tuesday (November 18).
INSIDE THE MATCH
- Northwood started the match by scoring the first three and five of the first seven points. With the score tied 6-6, Cedarville scored eight of the next 11 points to go up 14-9. Cedarville led 20-16 when Northwood made a late run to give themselves a chance. NU came all the way back to take a 23-22 lead before CU scored the final three points to take the opener 25-23.
- The Yellow Jackets came out fast in the second set, scoring the first six points of the set. The lead stood at 17-10 before Northwood posted eight of the next 10 points to make the score 19-18. Cedarville finished the set strong, going on a 6-3 run to earn a 2-0 lead with a 25-21 win.
- Set three was evenly played early on, with the first three-point lead coming with the Yellow Jackets went up 12-9. Cedarville led 20-18, only to see the Timberwolves come up big to get back in the match. Northwood claimed seven of the final nine point to win the third 25-22.
- After Northwood went up 2-1 early in the fourth, the Timberwolves held the lead the majority of the fourth set. NU was up 17-14 when Cedarville started to make the final key run of the match. CU scored eight of the next nine points to take a 21-18 lead. With Cedarville lead standing at 23-22, the Yellow Jackets scored the final two points to take the set 25-22 and the match 3-1.
