RECAP: Northwood baseball posts a 1-1 record in Florida Thursday night (March 6), defeating Minnesota-Crookston 13-3 before falling to No. 14 Grand Valley State 2-1.
- Northwood got off to a fast start in the game, going up 2-0 in the first on an RBI double by Anthony Manganello.
- Josh Getz followed with an RBI single to make the score 3-0 after one inning.
- The score remained 3-0 until the fifth when Northwood's Caden Duryea pushed the lead to 4-0 on a sacrifice fly.
- Minnesota-Crookston got on the board with a sac fly in the top of the sixth.
- NU got going again in the bottom of the sixth, starting with an RBI triple by Logan Voth.
- Myles Beale followed with a two-run double to give the Timberwolves a six-run lead.
- Northwood capped the five-run inning with a Duryea two-run single that made the score 9-1.
- The Golden Eagles cut into the Northwood lead with a two-run home run in the top of the seventh.
- Northwood took advantage of Crookston mistakes in the final two innings, starting with runs in the seventh on a passed ball and an error in the seventh to make the score 11-3.

- The Timberwolves then made it a 10-run lead on a passed ball.
