RECAP: Northwood baseball completes a four-game sweep at Thomas More Sunday (March 16), with the Timberwolves taking game one 9-3 before NU earned a 9-5 win in 10 innings in the nightcap.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS (SEVEN INNINGS)

• Northwood got the scoring going in the top of the second on a Connor McCartan double to make the score 1-0.
• Aidan Robinson extended the lead in the second on an RBI fielder's choice in the third.
• Northwood put up a three-run fourth inning, which got going on a Spencer Fortier RBI single.
• Myles Beale brought home two with a single to give the Timberwolves a 5-0 lead in the fourth.
• The Timberwolves continued to add on in the fifth with four more runs. Ben Narr started the rally with an RBI walk.
• With the bases loaded, Brendan Hammer came through with a hit that cleared the bases, pushing the advantage to 9-0.
• The Saints scored the final three runs of the game, putting up one in the sixth and two in the seventh.

• Thomas More was the better team early in the game, putting up three runs in the bottom of the third to take a 3-0 lead.
• Northwood got two back in the top of the fifth on a two-run single by Brendan Hammer to cut the Saints lead to one.
• TMU got their lead back up to two with a run in the fifth to make the score 4-2.
• One of the key hits of the game came from Northwood's Caden Duryea in the top of the seventh. His three-run home run gave Northwood their first lead of the day at 5-4.
• Thomas More did not go away, tying the game in the bottom of the ninth with a run to force extra innings.
• Matthew Meyer and Hammer came through with big hits for the Timberwolves in the top of the 10th, each earning two-run singles to put NU on top 9-5.
• Lucas McKinney pitched the final two innings for NU, including a shutout bottom of the tenth, to give the Timberwolves the sweep.
