• Wayne State held the early advantage in the game, going up 13-6 in the opening 3:31 of the contest.
• The Timberwolves fought back to take the lead at 22-21 with 9:47 to go in the first half.
• The remainder of the first half was close – the largest lead the remainder of the half was five for either side.
• WSU held a 39-36 edge at the break.
