RECAP: Northwood men's lacrosse dropped its 2026 road opener Saturday, falling 16-5 to (RV) Indianapolis at Key Stadium.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Northwood came out sharp, scoring the game's first two goals. Jacob Bajis opened the match with his first collegiate goal, scoring at the 13:19 mark of the first quarter before Dylan Ayotte finished off a feed from Payton Allaire to make it 2-0 at the 10:01 mark of the first quarter.
- Indianapolis answered with a strong closing stretch in the opening quarter, scoring five straight goals in the final 6:39 to take a 5-2 lead after one.
- The Greyhounds added three more in the second quarter, including a man-up goal, before Northwood broke through at 11:11 as Andrew Rogers scored off an assist from Drew Lockwood. Indianapolis added another late goal to carry an 8-3 advantage into halftime.
- After two Indianapolis goals early in the third pushed the margin to 10-3, Northwood responded late in the period when Ryder Mulvey scored with :19 remaining to make it 10-4 heading to the fourth.
- Indianapolis pulled away in the final quarter, scoring six times in six minutes to extend the match to their largest lead at 16-4. Lockwood added Northwood's final goal at the 4:29 mark, which would end up being the final score at 16-5.
