Men's Lacrosse Pushes Win Streak To Nine With 18-7 Road Win At Tiffin

RECAP: Northwood men's lacrosse delivered a dominant wire-to-wire performance Wednesday afternoon (April 8), defeating Tiffin 18-7 to remain unbeaten in G-MAC play.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Andrew Rogers opened the scoring just 1:10 into the game and added another midway through the first quarter as Northwood jumped out to a 2-0 lead.
- Drew Lockwood found the back of the net at the 11:08 mark of the first, then assisted on MacKennan Tognetti's goal just over a minute later to extend the lead to 3-0.
- Ryder Mulvey capitalized on a man-up opportunity at 9:14 in the first quarter, finishing a feed from Lockwood to make it 4-0.
- Rogers completed a first-quarter hat trick with his second unassisted goal, pushing the advantage to 5-0 before Payton Allaire added a goal late in the frame for a 6-1 lead.
- Rogers stayed hot in the second quarter, scoring at 13:36 and again at 8:13 to give him five goals on the day.
- He added his fifth goal at 4:58 in the second off a Mulvey assist, extending Northwood's lead to 9-2.
- Gabe Schmoll scored unassisted with just over two minutes remaining in the half, helping the Timberwolves carry a 10-4 lead into the break.
- MacKennan Tognetti opened the third quarter scoring at 13:56, and Mulvey followed just 33 seconds later off a Tognetti assist to push the lead to 12-4.
- Tiffin answered with two goals in the third, but Northwood's defense held firm and limited further damage heading into the fourth.
- Mulvey took over in the fourth quarter, scoring at 14:30 and again at 12:38 to quickly extend the lead to 14-6.
- Lockwood added a goal at 8:54 off a feed from Schmoll, continuing the offensive surge.
- Dylan Ayotte finished a Tognetti assist at 3:52, before Tognetti capped his big day with a goal at 2:58. Tognetti finished the day with a team-high seven points (three goals and four assists).
- Schmoll closed out the scoring with 33 seconds remaining, sealing the 18-7 win.
