Marc Ferrando Earns G-MAC Men's Tennis Athlete Of The Week
MIDLAND, MICH. – Marc Ferrando, a sophomore from the Northwood University women's tennis team, has been announced as the Great Midwest Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week.
The league made the announcement Monday (April 6). This marks the fourth time this season the men's tennis team has earned the G-MAC Athlete of the Week this season (Sergio Lopez Guillen twice, Andrey Pikulin)
Marc Ferrando went 4-0 for Northwood in a pair of road wins last week. At the No. 3 singles position, he won a pair matches in straight sets against Cedarville and Ashland. Ferrando lost a total of just one game in each singles match. He then went on to team with Juan Perez Garcia at the No. 1 doubles position to go 2-0. Ferrando has now won eight straight singles matches and five straight doubles matches.
Northwood hosts Kentucky Wesleyan Saturday (April 11). Match time is set for 1 p.m.
