Women's Soccer Battles For A 1-1 Draw At Cedarville

RECAP: In a rain-soaked match that had to be moved to Wright State due to soggy field conditions at Cedarville, women's soccer battled to a 1-1 draw with Cedarville Saturday  (September 28).

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Northwood offense came out early, taking four of the first five shots of the match. They eventually broke through to go up 1-0 in the 15'. Mia Thomson led Carly Boyd down the middle seam as she took a few steps before scoring.
• After the first 15', Northwood's defense was on the clock. The Timberwolves only shot on goal of the match came on the score. Cedarville outshot the Timberwolves 22-4, including a 9-0 advantage for on-target attempts over the final 75'.
• As the defense continued to bow, it took a late score in the 88' for the Yellow Jackets to tie it at 1-1 with a free kick header into the net.
• Although the stats seemed lop-sided, the Timberwolves held for a 1-1 draw over the final two minutes. Lindsay Jacob recorded a season-high eight saves in the contest.
