RECAP: Northwood women's soccer hosted Thomas More on Saturday (October 19). Carly Boyd and Lindsay Jacob broke career records in the Timberwolves' 4-1 win over the Saints.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Mari Jackson put the Timberwolves out in front in the 13', finding nylon in the lower right corner. Carly Boyd was credited with her 23^rd career assist. She found Jackson as she worked backward in the box, giving Jackson enough room for the score, 1-0 NU.
• Northwood held the 1-0 advantage at the half with a 5-3 lead in shots and a 3-2 lead on corners.
• In the 53', Carly Boyd faked everyone out with what looked to be a cross that snuck into the upper left corner to give Northwood the 2-0 lead.
• The Saints cut the lead to one in the 64'. Thomas More's forward dribbled through the Northwood backline to score from the top of the 18-yard box.
• Holding on to the one-goal lead, Northwood began to turn the offensive pressure up. Carly Boyd's cross from the middle of the Saint's half allowed Addyson Gorzelski to score. A controversial offside call would be upheld, and Gorzelski scored in the lower right corner for the 3-1 lead in the 87'.
• Carly Boyd's assist to Gorzelski was her 24^th for her career, breaking the Northwood program record of 23 set by Julie Surma (1999-2002).
• Ella Boyd put the nail in the coffin in the 90'. Ella and Carly teamed up for the Timberwolves' fourth score. Ella received Carly's cross from the left side of the box before looping it over the keeper to put NU ahead 4-1.
• Northwood held for the final 30 seconds for the 4-1 win. The win marks the 21st for the career of keeper Lindsay Jacob. She now holds the program record, surpassing the previous keeper, Andrea Everett (2018-22).
