Savannah Matuszewski Earns Third G-MAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week Honor of the Season
MIDLAND, MICH. – Savannah Matuszewski, a senior from the Northwood University women's tennis team, has been announced as the Great Midwest Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week.
The league made the announcement Monday (March 23). It is the third time this season she has earned the honor and the fifth time overall for Northwood women's tennis.
Matuszewski posted a 4-0 record for Northwood in a pair of wins last week, leading Northwood to wins over Kentucky Wesleyan and Thomas More. She won a pair of straight-set matches at the No. 1 position in singles. She also teamed with Danijela Danilovic to go 2-0 at No. 1 doubles, winning their two matches by a combined score of 12-1
Northwood will travel to Walsh Friday (April 17). First serve is set for 2 p.m.
