Women's Tennis Places Three On All-Great Midwest Team
MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's tennis teams placed a total of three student-athletes on the All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference teams, which were announced Friday (April 24).
Senior Savannah Matuszewski and junior Giada Ciampa were placed on the First Team. Senior Danijela Danilovic earned Second Team honors.
Matuszewski played at the top of the lineup in singles and doubles this season. She posted a 13-5 record at No. 1 singles and a record of 14-5 at No. 1 doubles. In G-MAC play, Matuszewski has gone 14-4 (6-2 singles, 8-1 doubles).
Giampa was Northwood's number three singles player while splitting time between the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles position. She went 16-3 in singles and 11-7 in doubles. Giampa has posed a 13-4 combined conference record.
Danilovic, Northwood's No. 2 singles player and No. 1/3 doubles. She went 15-3 overall in No. 2 singles and a combined 14-5 in doubles. Her record in conference play was a combined 14-3 (6-2 singles, 8-1 doubles).
