The Timberwolves chipped away at the lead, eventually getting within two at 15-13. ODU responded with four of the next five points to get their advantage back up to five at 19-14. NU got no closer than four the rest of the set, which was won by the Panthers 25-20 to give ODU a 2-1 lead for the match.
