Men's Tennis Claims 9-0 Road Win Over Lake Erie

The Northwood University men's tennis team clinched a share of its 19th consecutive GLIAC Championship Sunday afternoon (April 14) with a 9-0 road win over Lake Erie.

Northwood is now 12-4 overall, 10-0 in the GLIAC.  Lake Erie stands at 1-14 overall, 0-10 in the GLIAC.

The Timberwolves took control of the contest right away in doubles, dropping a total of four games on their way to a 3-0 lead.  Northwood continued their strong play in singles, winning all six matches in straight sets.

Northwood can win the outright title with a win at home Tuesday (April 16) against Wayne State.  The Warriors, who are 9-1 in GLIAC play, can earn a share of the title with a win over NU.  First serve is set for Noon at the Midland Community Tennis Center.
